item idem™ brings back the love hotel in japan.
Following "The Wrong Store" (Paris / galerie frederic giroux), "The Wrong Office: Loveless Lifemore" (Tokyo / Loveless ), item idem™introduces the final (?) episode of its wrong triptych, as the "The Wrong Motel".
As a structural copy of the recently-opened-in-Paris "Hotel Amour" hotel by french artist & parisian night-icon Andre, " The Wrong Motel " is a conceptual simulation of a love hotel from japan, here pictured halfway between an Amsterdam's red light district's hooker room & a porn tycoon's fancy penthouse.
In collaboration with artists from Paris (Andre), London (Peter Ibruegger), New York / Tokyo (Silvester Ribbon), item idem™ curates & designs an art exhibition, as a simple decorative interior design project.
Reunifying sophisticated design works, with its own unique sense of yummy bad taste,
Relocating supposed hidden ideas, apparently secreted items, & obviously extreme aesthetics,
item idem™ invites viewers to explore a challenging forbidden universe, where all-and-more is definitely possible ... eh ?!
